Tomatoes are a great source of vitaminsīecause our tomatoes are greenhouse grown, we’re able to not only enjoy them all year long, but reap the health benefits of them, 365 days a year. Moreover, tomatoes contain a plethora of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin c, potassium, vitamin K1 and folate. Lycopene also protects against the free radicals within your body which can help in preventing certain types of cancer. Here at Del Fresco Pure we grow nine varieties of tomatoes – different in shape and colour – all equally delicious and greenhouse grown all year round, in Ontario.Īre tomatoes REALLY that good for you? YES – can you hear us screaming from the mountain tops?! Tomatoes contain the antioxidant lycopene which helps keep your skin looking younger because it protects you against UV rays. In the world, there are over 10,000 varieties of tomatoes grown. What we can agree on is that tomatoes are simply put – darn good for you. It’s entirely up to you how you say it, no judgements here. I really hope Holy Tomato Too gets it together a bit so they will be the place to go for pizza in Mullica Hill, and not just another shop that shutters entirely too soon.Tomayto, tomahto – which is it? The long standing debates. I love giving my money to local businesses, and want them to flourish! We don't need more big-box stores and generic corporate pizza.but if local businesses don't deliver the creative, unique, and delectable fare that will "wow" their customers (and with a smile, as well), those customers will not return. Maybe they were really busy, but it's not good customer service to leave a place feeling that way, plus carrying a nearly cheese-less pizza home for dinner. Those we dealt with made us feel like nuisances, which we really strive not to be. We had purchased a Local Flavor deal for both visits, but still encountered issues with the politeness of the staff. Healthier perhaps, but not what we expected for a pizza. We tried the basic pie this time, which again was fresh and very tomato-y, but again the super thin crust, and, as you can see in the picture, almost no cheese. Somehow, that offer changed unexpectedly since then to a pizza, two salads, and two drinks for $20, which is not what we were hoping for. do the buy-one-get-one-free pizza night, which we were told about at the first visit. The first time, we had the Chicago pie, which was okay, and tasted fresh and tomato-y, with a very thin crust. I do not like to rate establishments poorly, but unfortunately, our two visits here have been less-than-spectacular. We will only be going to the Holy Tomato in Blackwood. I'm glad we tried this location, so now we can scratch it off our list. This place was also run by a bunch of kids in high school/college, so I think that's also an issue. The desserts at the Blackwood location were served warm and were delicious, the desserts in Mullica Hill were ice cold and horrible. My chicken alfredo pizza was so terrible, no alfredo sauce on it at all, and it looked like minced chicken. Then, they told us they ran out of glasses, none of them were clean, so we waited another 20 minutes for our waters/teas. We started to walk out when they "found" two tables to put together. Well, almost an hour later we asked when our table would be ready turns out we were waiting for the table of 6 to be finished that was seated right before we put our name in, and they had JUST received their pizza, so we would have had to wait another 45 minutes. We had 6 people and the wait was 30 minutes, so we didn't have a problem waiting. We could see the guy in the back making pizzas and he. First of all, as soon as we walked in, it smelled like grease. Please don't waste your time- you are SO much better off going to the original Holy Tomato Pies in Blackwood,NJ.
